Your cheezburgur exploded??? LOL, no. I had a cheezburgur for lunch today, and it came nowhere near exploding. It was in danger of my dad stealing part of it though :-). But seriously. I = you, Kyeannpepper? Yes, I=me, Kyeannpepper=HAF. Intended to put that in the statement. Was cayenne pepper involved? No. Hamsters? No. Or was that some other puzzle? That was some other puzzle. Lateral adventures relevant? Sadly, no. And no one has posted on my old one for a bit :-(. I gave you your kitteh in my new one! |

Something went wrong? At the worst possible moment? We are talking Murphy's first law here, I assume? |

Something went wrong? Yes. At the worst possible moment? Yope. We are talking Murphy's first law here, I assume? The one that says everything that can go wrong, will? That one? If so, yes. |

First law: Everything that can go wrong, will, and at the worst possible moment. Second law: If several things can go wrong, they will do so in the worst possible succession. Third law: If something can go wrong, but doesn't, it will turn out later that it would have been better if it had gone wrong. Did this happen at home? At work? Outdoors? Indoors? Did it hurt? Did you take a financial loss? An added hassle? |

Were you preparing food? Relevant what kind(s) of foodstuffs? Were foodstuffs involved in all 4 things that went wrong? If not, in no. 1? 2? 3? 4? Could these be seen as 4 distinct events separated by time spans? |

THIS ONE!! Were you preparing food? Yesish Relevant what kind(s) of foodstuffs? Yes, slight ish Were foodstuffs involved in all 4 things that went wrong? Yes! If not, in no. 1? 2? 3? 4? Could these be seen as 4 distinct events separated by time spans? 2 and 3 could. 1 and 2 were close together. 3 and 4 were also close together. |

RECAP: I experienced Murphy's Second Law, which says that if several things can go wrong, they will do so in the worst possible succession. 4 things went wrong. The puzzle involves spilling a certain foodstuff, which was not toast. Events 1 and 2 were close together, as were 3 and 4. Even 1 and event 4 were within 15 minutes of each other. |

Ok, time for the ***************SPOILER*************** Yesterday, I experienced Murphy's Law first-hand. What happened? I was eating vanilla ice cream, which I wanted to be chocolate. We had this bottle of instant chocolate shell. I tried to put it on my ice cream, but it didn't open (Event 1). I then left the cap open (Event 2). I went to shake it, and the cap wasn't on. I think you can guess what happened. Here's what makes it really ironic. I got the stuff on my shirt, on the desk, on the chair, on the floor, in my hair, on the keyboard (there's still some stuck between the keys, by the way), but none of it went in my mouth, on my mouth, or near my mouth (Event 3). If you have to spill delicious chocolate shell, you'd think some of it would go near your mouth. I didn't get any on my face at all! Total Murphy's Law. I then had to clean it up, of course (Event 4). And in case you were wondering, the relevance of the title is that there's a girl in my class named Caitlyn, who prefers to be called by her middle name, Murphy. |

I did the same thing with chocolate shell a week ago... and spilled it on someone else's computer. We were able to clean it up with no real damage, but I was mortified. |
