Wait. It WORKED?! No way! Warning: Although not really 'silly', this is a very humorous puzzle. |

Humorous puzzles are the best kind, in my humble opinion... Does this involve solving a problem? Accomplishing something? Inventing something? Discovering an alternative use for something? |

Is the "it" that worked mostly an idea? Something physical? Something abstract? Does it involve transportation? Money? Medicine or health care? I'm thinking of the movie 'One Crazy Summer' where the scout leader tells the kids they may one day come across someone whose eyeball is out of the socket and they may have to use a stick to push it back in... |

Is the "it" that worked mostly an idea? This... Something physical? And this. So, we had an idea to do something physical, and did it. Just to avoid misunderstandings. Something abstract? Does it involve transportation? Money? Medicine or health care? No with slight ish to this I'm thinking of the movie 'One Crazy Summer' where the scout leader tells the kids they may one day come across someone whose eyeball is out of the socket and they may have to use a stick to push it back in... Nothing like this. No to rest. |

To execute your idea, did you have to use any tools? Did you write anything? Give anyone instructions? Did your idea cost money to implement? Did this idea help a group of people simultaneously? Was the group of people trying to achieve some kind of goal? Did the idea provide relief? Did it bring peace? Did it remove fear? |

To execute your idea, did you have to use any tools? No. Did you write anything? No. Give anyone instructions? Noish. Did your idea cost money to implement? No Did this idea help a group of people simultaneously? Yes! Was the group of people trying to achieve some kind of goal? Yes, could be slightly misleading. Did the idea provide relief? To some, could be misleading. Did it bring peace? Well, there was already peace. Did it remove fear? It removed fear from those who were provided with relief. This answer might be somewhat misleading as well. |

Just to make sure, Kyeann, does this involve a multiple choice test? There is a funny thing on the web, I guess you have to search for humorous test answers, where it shows a photo of someone's multiple choice test sheet (you know, the kind where you fill in the circles with a number 2 pencil). And they were all "C" out of A though D. There is a belief, that on multiple choice tests with A through D choices, choosing "C" gives you the best odds. What made the joke genius is that one of the questions there is an answer "A" which was halfway erased, and "C" being chosen in it's place! Of course I want to school more than twenty years ago, so I'm sure all the tests are online now. |

Was the teacher in the class when you did it? Did he/she ask you to do it? Know that you were doing it? Know that you had done it afterwards? Was it something your teacher would have approved of? Would you have got into trouble for doing it if you had been caught (assuming that you weren't caught. Were you caught? Did you get in trouble?)? Was it something related to the teacher? To the lesson? Did you decide to do it because you were bored? |

Was the teacher in the class when you did it? Did he/she ask you to do it? Know that you were doing it? Know that you had done it afterwards? Oops. *BLOOPER*. The teacher did 'it', not the kids, and the kids asked you to do it. Normally I would've just said 'FA', but this was my fault. Mea culpa. Was it something your teacher would have approved of? Would you have got into trouble for doing it if you had been caught (assuming that you weren't caught. Were you caught? Did you get in trouble?)? Was it something related to the teacher? To the lesson? Yes! Did you decide to do it because you were bored? |

So... did you (the kids) ask the teacher to do the thing? And he/she did it? Was she/he surprised that it worked? Were you surprised that it worked? Was "it" getting the teacher to do the thing? Or the thing itself? Were you surprised that the teacher did it? Is the puzzle statement the point of view of the teacher? You? |

Yes, as was the rest of the class. Was "it" getting the teacher to do the thing? Or the thing itself? This one. Were you surprised that the teacher did it? Not particularly. How old were you [insert list of ages, if I may]? Was the lesson about maths? science? language? history? geography? art? music? design? IT? Did she use one or more physical objects to do the thing? Did you ask her to do it after she mentioned it? Did you know it was possible before the lesson? Were you surprised that it worked because you didn't think it was possible for it to work? |

Was the TV malfunctioning, and someone gave it a whack, and it started working? YES!! That's the *************SPOILER************* We were about to start our swimming unit in PE, but the TV that we watched the swimming safety video on wasn't working. The teacher decided to start the lessons immediately instead of watching the video (we had all seen it before anyways). However, the TV was in a cabinet thing, and as she slammed the doors closed, we saw a flicker on the screen. Kids: *chanting* Kick it! Kick it! Kick it! So she did. And it worked. Which was awesome. I mean, how often does kicking something to fix it work? And then we got to watch a whale talk in rhymes about safety while swimming rather than actually swimming. And it was awesome xP. Galfisk gets credit for the solve on this one, Jane, Ixoye724, and Shez get credit for the basework. The memory of this may or may not be slightly distorted as it's from several years ago.... |

Good puzzle! If at first it doesn't work, give it a kick! Or a punch! Or a smack! By then even if it still doesn't work you'll feel better since you've worked off some energy in the process. |
