Time for the old Sledgehammer methinks. Does the crime involve removing cash from a till? Is the business a retail outlet of some discription? One that normally accepts cash from it's customers? Is his crime deliberately accepting incorrect change? Does he commit the crime by causing confusion? does he need a distraction? Does he impersonate anyone to carry out this crime? Does he wear special clothing? Could his crime be better described as a con or swindle? |

This is a toughie... Does he use violence in committing this crime? Or the threat of violence? Yes, but FA Does he carry a weapon? I don't know, but assume Yes, and same FA Is there a significant sum of money involved? less than $100 ? $1000 ? $10,000? $100,000? more? His robbery would have probably netted thousands HINT: Remember that Tapio failed to commit the crime, and his attempted robbery was a common type of robbery (especially in detective stories). |

Did something physically prevent him from going into the Bank? Not sure if this has been asked but was the bank open at the time? NO and that's the answer. Apart from Tapio's presence is there anything unusual about the day's trading for the Bank? **********SPOILER********** Tapio spent 20 minutes in the bank's parking lot trying to build up the courage to rob said bank. However, by the time he went over to rob it, the bank had closed, foiling his attempt. Nice work everyone; new puzzle in a bit. |
