H/A/M never used quite to cut it even when I was a young puzzler. Real story? Fictional story? FYOI story? [LTPF List of Decades]? First "he" same as second "he"? "American customs" = "USian customs" (if not, what)? Now I come to think of it, "customs" as in "traditional practices"? as in "customs and excise"? "He" was from [LTPF List of Countries]? Twenty one schmenty one - Balin Fundinul, it's Good to see you and the Rest of the clan. Kayleetonkslupin, keep Striving for epithets Polysyllabical - Make sure they scan. |

Was he pretending to be American as part of his evil plan? Or otherwise trying to fit in with Americans? Did he fail to follow an American custom? Did he incorrectly predict what would happen in a certain situation because he was unfamiliar with the customs? Was the crime theft? Murder? Fraud? Espionage? Terrorism? Drug related? |

BLOOPER-ish: is this custom something people don't say? don't do? in response to something that's said? done? something seen? It's something people do, then don't do. (That's about as close as I can get it to clarity without giving the actual action away.) |

As far as I know, Doofenshmirtz or whatever his name is always tries to take over the world... Well, just the Tri-State Area!!!! So... did he want people to support/follow him as their leader? Yes. ****SPOILER**** This is the B-plot from one of the most recent Phineas and Ferb episodes, "Happy New Year!": Dr. Doofenshmirtz creates a Resolution Changer-inator to change everyone's resolution to "Obey Heinz Doofenshmirtz, our new leader," and at the critical moment, Perry the Platypus allows him to do so instead of defeating him. The -inator works and everyone's resolution is changed; however, nobody follows Doofenshmirtz because "no one ever keeps their New Year's resolution" (which Perry knew would happen). Nice work everyone, especially Doriana for a lot of the work (Kyeann also figured it out, presumably - I never did get a confirming email). New puzzle right now, and Happy New Year everyone. |
