I could technically answer yes but I think that it might mislead Time? Effort? Emm doesn't everthing involve time and effort. However not a whole lot of either is required |

Today is my 6th forum birthday. Sad as I am i decided to see how many puzzles I've hosted in that time and was surprised to learn that my current puzzle is only my 89th. Im my defence I do suffer regular bouts of puzzlers block. I'm amazed at some of you and your ability to come up with so many puzzles. What's the secret? |

Are you chewing something meant to be chewed, like gum? Or something else, like a pencil? Or a part of the mouth, like the tongue or inside of the cheek? I don't have a "secret" to coming up with puzzles, per se (I explained more in the chatroom), but I keep an eye out for scenarios that would make good puzzles. |

Ah, I re read that it's nothing to do with your nails. Back to the drawing board. You say that it's something you 'have' to do in that "I'd like to stop having to do it." Does it irritate you that you have to do it? Anything to do with weight control? |

So your chewing habit isn't rude, right? Right Does it lead to a negative outcome for you? Quite the opposite , if I didn't do this I would suffer a negative consequence For other people? No Or is it not necessarily negative, but leads you to miss out on a better outcome than what you get the way you do it? See above but I should say that Constast is only one way to reap this benefit. There are more practical and long term ways of doing so |

Non-denture false teeth? such as implants? or bridges? No to these... I think I can save you the trouble of invoking the LTPF list of dental procedures by telling you that my dentist told me recently that I need Root Canal treatment and a crown. So your next post should tell me what Constast means |

is it chewing on the side where you need the root canal? Quite the opposite but enough for me to declare the ************Spoiler****************** On a recent trip to my dentist she advised that she would need to do root canal treatment on a dodgy molar that I have. After the root canal I'd have to get a crown as well. This would set me back the small sum of €1500. During the check up my dentist said that 'you've probably been subconsciously chewing on the other side of your mouth to avoid the sore tooth'. She was right and a neologism was born. I bet that Chewing on One Side To Avoid Sore Tooth is something you've all done from time to time. Thanks for playing. |
