I used to have a scrund about the American civil rights leader The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Some other people (maybe including some of you?) had it, too. What is it? |

Did you think his name was a pseudonym? Is the "Jr." part relevant? the "Reverend" part? the "Doctor" part? |

Was the scrund related to the combination of his first and middle names, i.e. "Martin Luther"? or either one separately? |

Does the scrund involve the original Martin Luther, the theologian? Whether or not MLK was named for him? |

Slave names relevant? Did you think Luther King was a double barrelled surname? so maybe you thought his mother's surname was Luther and his dad's King? |

Did you think MLK was related to Martin Luther? That he chose his own name? Did you know about the original Martin Luther? Was the scrund also about him? About some relationship between him and MLK? Relevant that MLK's father had the same name as him? |

Both Martin Luther King Jr. and Martin Luther King Sr. were actually named Michael King at (or shortly after) birth; the latter changed his name later in his career and the former adopted the name chosen by his father. Is this relevant? |

Is this relevant?no ************ SPOILER ****** Because of the first two-thirds of his name, I assumed that Martin Luther King was a Lutheran. This too-easy puzzle would have been better put as a scrund about Lutheranism rather than a scrund about MLK. Sorry! But please check out my new puzzle!! |
