When I genovaul, people smile, and I am happy because they are happy.
But when I do the opposite, and vaulogen, people frown, and I feel just a little embarassed.

Do you say anything while either genovauling or vaulugening? Do you need a prop or equipment? Can you do both indoors? outdoors? Is your occupation relevant? a hobby or passtime? Do people frown because they're annoyed ? puzzled?

Do you do these things regularly? with the same frequency for each? if not do you genovaul more than you vaulogen?

Is your mood relevant? are you more likely to genovaul when happy? and vaulogen when sad? annoyed?

Is there a physical action associated with genovauling? vaulogening?

Can you genovaul without other people around? vaulogen?

Do you genovaul intentionally? vaulogen?

Can the same precise set of actions be seen as genovauling or vaulogening depending on the circumstances?

Is genovauling the opposite of vaulogening?Yes
Is there a physical action associated with genovauling? vaulogening? Only insofar as speaking can be considered a physical action. Both require speaking.

Can you genovaul without other people around? vaulogen? No to both; requires other persons.

Do you genovaul intentionally? Possibly, but usually not. vaulogen? Never!

Can the same precise set of actions be seen as genovauling or vaulogening depending on the circumstances? No

do you vaulogen and genovaul in the same language? dialect? Yes, English, but it is possible to do it in any language or dialect.
Is using big words relevant? No Any sense of lying or being econimical with the truth? Hmm - when I genovaul, I might or might not be telling a small, 'social' fib. Vaulogenning is accidental, therefore not a deliberate stretching of the truth or outright lying.

There is a common LTPF question which has not yet been asked.

Am going out or town later this week, so will offer another hint:
My puzzle statement indicates 'people' are involved. Find out who, how many, etc.

H/A/M? H/A/F? LTPF'ers? 2? 3? 4? 5? 10? More than 10? More than 20? More than 50? More than 100? 500? 1000? in the thousands? tens of thousands? hundreds of thousands? millions? billions? I don't think we've quite got to trillion, yet...

H/A/M?Could be either M or F, but always HA H/A/F? I am, but could also be HAM. There is a 3rd person involved. Find out about this person. LTPF'ers? No 2? 3? minimum of 3 people involved. Any others are just spectators, to add to my embarassment. 4? 5? 10? certainly no more than 10, and in fact there was only one on-looker, whose identity is n.r. More than 10? More than 20? More than 50?

Since this seems to be moribund, and is 7/8 solved, I am going to post the
*************SPOILER************
To genovaul is to jump over a generation, and mistake someone's grandchild for their child. To vaulogen is the opposite, to mistake their child for a grandchild, always just a little bit embarassing, at least to the vaulogener.

Thx, Kaylee **nomz cheezburgur.

In return, I will tell you something a co-worker told me. She was born when her father was in his 50s and her mother was in her 40s.

She liked to tag along with her Dad, and when he went to town, his friends would rib him by saying, "Hey, Frank, is this your granddaughter?"

He would reply, "Nah, she's my baby sister."

Perfect reaction to vaulogening, is what I say!
