Is this set in a fictional realm, or reality? Are the "old" and "new" people, with life and vitality? Is the spring that you mention 2013? Will these changes throughout the whole planet be seen? |

The changes literally "seen" will be As old yields to new, in the small country. In the rest of the world, it may be televised And YouTube will deliver it to people's eyes. |

Is this country in Africa? Northern America? Asia? Or Europe? Autralia? South 'Merica? Government relevant? Politics? Fun? Which is more relevant: pencil, or gun? Is there a festival? Is there succession? Persons involved? Relevant: their profession? Will something be built? Torn down? Moved away? Did the people have any say? |

Country small in Europe lies, Government and politics here apply Pencil or gun? Neither are relevant The matter here is one of succession. Persons involved - chiefly, just two, Old to step down, in favour of new. New brings with him a wife though, and she Also is a "first in a while" for all to see. Profession is entirely relevant; Perhaps you can guess it from "succession"? Nothing physically built or torn down; Just a new "age" - But not many people of small country Have any say. Old is merely keeping with tradition; But something about New changes the position. |

Is there a color named, remotely in time? And is that a color for which there's no rhyme? |

Are kings involved here? Are these people in power there? Or more of a decoration? Is there a coronation? Blood lines relevant? Blood lines broken? Will the people be jubilant? Or is resentment awoken? |

There is a color for which there's no rhyme, I think Soli the answer has found in time. But I'll let this puzzle go on, for Galfisk and all Who wish to ask more questions most poetical. The "new" one you see is soon to be king, Being wholly in charge will not be his thing. But neither is he figurehead ceremonial - Power he'll have, it's quite constitutional. Coronation - oddly enough, no there is not. Another word would quite hit the spot. Bloodlines are relevant, it is quite so, How new relates to old I'd like you to know. Bloodlines broken? Elaborate, please? I'd hate to be giving you OTWTs. Will the people be jubilant? Remains to be seen... They originally resented their soon-former Queen. |

Is the UK relevant? The color orange, though it can't Be rhymed to? No, "a country small" Does not sound like UK at all. The color, is that in their flag? Their name? Their clothes? I would nag And ask, with bloodlines: does the new Not to the old relate, say you? |

The UK is relevant-ish, surprisingly, Though of course it's not "small" country. They have an interest in the situation Though UK precedent won't change legislation. The colour orange is VERY relevant, Although in another way it's meant. On the flag it is not at all (The Orange, White and Green is another tricolor, recall.) Orange is in their name - DYOD - But certainly the "new" one, he Has used it for title, and used it in fame, It could be considered, I guess, his name. His first daughter then will "Orange" name bear (Another first, so you're aware.) "Old" is, you see, his mother dear, And maybe you'll wind this up, if it's all clear? |

All is not clear, but then again I'm not a big follower of world events. The color green, is that in here? Or just the title, way up there? The "Orange" name, is that what's new? Is that from the guy's father due? Or did he take it by own will? Is he famous, though he's still Not king? If so, just 'cause he is Who he is? Is anything amiss? Or has he garnered his own fame Regardless of his mom and name? If so: as singer? Painter? Clown? Some other art gained him renown? |

Well, on a global scale, you see Th' events fall nearer you, than me. The color green is not in there Just the title I posted here. The "Orange" name is not new to him It is a title to his daughter soon given. From his father it came not at all; It came through his mum's line, but she didn't call Herself "Orange" when she was the heir - It wasn't her right; have I made sense there? He's famous enough, though no Wills and Kate, Perhaps few would know him in the United States. More I think would, overseas, 'Specially in Europe, and nearby countries. He's famous mostly for being the heir, And a rule as of '80s de facto, was all but de jure. |

My rhyming skills may not be much but are we taking about those friendly Dutch? Their Queen Beatrix will no longer reign there and will hand the crown to her son and heir. Maybe she was finding hard to cope or felt to old just like the pope, Or perhaps she's had it with all the strife and declared being Queen is not a job for life. |

Thank you Pete, my Irish friend You've brought this puzzle to its end Beatrix is "old" Queen of the Dutch (Though "old" isn't really, compared to much Older Queens with longer reigns - Yours being one, and she's clearly sane =) Royals I admire, with their news I'm obsessed Though sometimes they need a break from th' press) But leave that for now; back to the question For which so many have been pressing To answer; yes, "new" is the Orange Prince; Willem-Alexander, to be first Dutch King since Over a century ago, the last King they knew William III (not yours, though yours, with Mary, was Orange too, He was about a century before) Was succeeded by Wilhelmina (Who didn't let Kaisers get her down) Then Juliana, and finally Beatrix Who in just over a month, Gives up her crown. Like her predecessors, Beatrix the Queen Is resigning the monarchial scene In the Netherlands, abdication's not bad to do Unlike in UK, where 1936 to 1952, Reign of George the King, Sixth of his name Was set up by his brother's very much infame- Ous choice...but once again, alack My royalty obsession got me off track. Back to the Netherlands then! The newmade King's Firstborn heir is a girl of all things =) Catharina-Amalia will become queen When in his turn Willem (maybe?) quits the scene. But for now, Princess of Orange will she In her own right, be the first ever to be. Grandmother, great, and twice great, all Queens, Were never given the title of Orange, you see. So this is a first, and I'm fairly sure it's true, Will & Kate's firstborn daughter (if such) HRH will be - more rule changing new! Lol, you can see the Brits are my first love, But the other royal family knowledge I strive to improve. In myself if not others, but I hope I've got some People who are interested - now I'll bring it home To roost, for Peter's put it all in the boiler. You know, there should be more that rhymes with SPOILER!!! |
