I told myself I wasn't going to start a new puzzle until after the week-end, when I am going to have to be away. But I couldn't resist, and hope participants will understand if I seem to ignore them for a few days. Fran just wanted to keep Cindy company, so she wouldn't be alone. But Rita had other ideas. |

Kindles relevant? Bendy straws? Middle Eastern souks? Scallywags who would nick their uncle's cash when his back is turned? Painful backs? Hurty knees? (Not mentioned in a puzzle but I has one). |

Is petty theft relevant here? If so, on the party of Fran, Cindy or Rita? |

On looking this over, it is very close to solved, so I will go ahead and $poyle it. ***********SPOILER************* Rita owns a small store that is open virtually 16/7. Fran offered to stay in the store on Sunday morning so that Rita could go to church. (Fran would go to a later service.) She offered to do this because she thought that Rita's reluctance was due to leaving the clerk, Cindy, a young woman, in a vulnurable position, alone. But when Fran showed up to 'store-sit' Rita started instructing her in how to use the cash register. She simply didn't trust Cindy. |
