Sternness had no effect, but softness shooed them away

Softness of: voice? Manners? A material? A substance? Such as tear gas? Or water? Was the sternness first tried in order to make them go away? Before they got shooed away, were they: curious? Angry? Scared? Amused? Stunned?

Deholmes:
At a party? No a bar, pub? No on the street? No indoors? Yope

Galfisk:
Softness of: voice? No, but this is closest. No to the rest. Manners? A material? A substance? Such as tear gas? Or water?

Was the sternness first tried in order to make them go away? Yes Before they got shooed away, were they: curious? Angry? Scared? Amused? Stunned? Hard to say. No one ever asked them about their feelings. I'd say no to all, but a few were maybe a bit angry. Not before they were shoed away, mind you, more like while they were shooed away.

Was something relevant said? Is music relevant? Chasing teens away with high frequency tones? Were they shooed away because: they took up space? They made noise? They inconvenienced someone? Relevant why they were there in the first place?

Asking noisy teenagers to leave a coffee shop did no good, threatening tto call the police also had negative results, but playing sinatra or bing crosby records on the PA system drove them out, or maybe it was elevator (lift) music?

Definitely OTRT, but the setting was a bit different. Who, where and what music? Remember my "yope" to your question whether it took place indoors

Galfisk:

Would you want to try finding out about the setting or/and the music, or shall I spoil it?

Did the music shoo them away directly? Indirectly? Did it attract other relevant people? Did it shoo away only the dealers? Only the addicts? Did they leave because they disliked the music?

*************** SPOILER ***************

True story: The central railway station in Hamburg, Germany (Hamburg Hauptbahnhof), was pestered with drug dealers and addicts occupying space and harassing travelers. Police was called frequently to chase the drug people away from the station, but they kept returning all the time.

Then Deutsche Bahn, the German railway company, came up with the idea of playing music over their loudspeaker system. They started playing Antonio VivaldiŽs "Four Seasons" on repeat and quite loudly all over the railway station.

This drove the drug addicts crazy, so they vanished. And so did the dealers who no longer had any customers there.
