New meaning to you? Someone else? If someone else: HAM? HAF?
Line=approximately a sentence of a book, magazine, etc? Or an actual line, as in a series of points such as the one dividing these questions from the date I posted them above? (First rule of the LTPF: Assume nothing.)

Was his reaction to a live event? something rehearsed? or just something that happened randomly?

Are the man's occupation and hobby linked in any way? does he work in music? or is his hobby music related?

Does the man's hobby involve collecting something? making or building something? does he do this hobby as part of a group? Does he need to dress up? use specific equipment?

I'm spoiling this.

****SPOILER**** - also SPOILER WARNING

The play is Curtains, and the first act ends with a man being hanged by the theatre's curtain rope, strung up as the curtain comes down. The detective in the case remarks "Better make that a blackout," and the act ends. However, at the production I was at recently, the mannequin hanged by the rope broke at the neck, making it all too obvious that the mannequin was just that (it was hollow on the inside, hence the title). So the last line, about a "blackout", took on a second meaning - the blackout would prevent the audience from seeing the hollow mannequin.

New theatre puzzle shortly.
