Noella's love for the piano led people to think she was a racist. How come?

Did people think Noella was racist because she talked about loving piano? Because she played it? Because she listened to it? Because her love of piano led her to do something else? Say something else?

Does Noella play the piano herself? Does she enjoy listening to others play it? Going to piano concerts?

Did they think she used a racist term? Thought badly of people of a particular race or races? Discriminated against people of a certain race/races?

Did they think she was racist against all non-whites? About a particular other race? About certain other races?

Are the names of notes relevant? Any kind of trick or mnemonic for learning piano? A particular term relating to race?

Nimue,

Just checking:

Did she say something which was thought to be racist?

Did she do something which was thought to be racist?

Was her 'racist' action any of the following:

Buying something
Selling something
Watching something

Was it to do with a particular person? Or composer?

Does it involve any of the following words or concepts?

black
coloured
yellow
indian
n*gg**
redskin
jew
arab
muslim

The "particular person" involved: were they a racial minority? Were they famous? Were they an acquaintance of Noella's? Did Noella do something that was perceived as racist towards the particular person?

Would another person who loved piano think Noella was racist if they witnessed the scene?

Could the same thing have happened if she had loved the violin or the trumpet instead of the piano?

Is some holiday or religious festival involved?

Was Noella normal or did she have some abnormality?

Is Noella white?

The other person involved. Does their age or gender matter? Were they white? Were they from a different ethnic background than Noella and does that matter?

Is this based on a misunderstanding?

OK,here we go...

Had Noella her arm raised to "conduct" to some piano music, and someone took this for a Hitler salute?
If not...was the Hitler salute involved? Another Nazi symbol? another hand gesture? Something she wore which looked like a racist symbol? Some kind of code used by racist groups?

The other person - was he present live? On film? On a picture? Not at all?

That symbol: Was it in fact the logo of a piano manufacturer? Referring in other way to some brand/type of piano? To piano music? A composer? A piano festival? An annual gathering of piano lovers?

Is it a graphic symbol? a number? A letter combination? Does it (when used by racists) refer to the "other person involved"? Is it his initials? Referring to his name otherwise? Is this the only way the "other person" was involved?

Do piano lovers use the number 88 to refer to the number of keys on a piano? Not in general, as far as I know, but Noella's boyfriend or girlfriend had a necklace with '88' on it made for her as a birthday present, not realizing that '88' is a neo-Nazi symbol, standing for HH (Heil Hitler), because h is the 8th letter of the alphabet. Please check out my new puzzle!!

How about the puzzle "As Nimue was lazy, Beaver got the solution"?

Actually, I had in mind 88 as a candidate solution before your copied my post incl. post number, but couldn't work out what it might have to do with the piano.

Anyway, a funny coincidence...
