In discussing a journey that was made, it is true to say that two men made the trip. It can also be said that several people made the trip, and in a manner of speaking this is also true. How's that possible?

Do both "trip"s refer to the journey? Is the drug-related meaning of "trip" relevant?
Were two men organizers of the trip? participants?
Were several men organizers of the trip? participants?

Were several men all H?A?M?
Are "two men" included in "several men"?

Were two men both H?A?M? Yes
Were several men all H?A?M? Let's see...at this point I'll say "unknown" and "not relevant"
Are "two men" included in "several men"? Yes, at least that's the assumption when the journey is discussed in a certain way...

"Two Men" = two human males
"Several People" = two human males plus any number of human females
?

(Not sure why we started talking about "several men" because the puzzle says "several people".)

"Two Men" = two human males
"Several People" = two human males plus any number of human females?

(Not sure why we started talking about "several men" because the puzzle says "several people".) It really isn't important whether's it's men or women or a mix of both in the "several"

Two men made [ie travelled on] the trip; several people made the trip [possible, or fun]? The meaning of "made the trip" in both cases means "participated in" or "were part of."

Two men made the trip (this time around).
Several made the trip (on previous occasions). No, the trip was only made once.

Is this a particularly well-known trip? Depends on who you ask. I'd say there are many who know the account well, some who recall it vaguely but don't remember the exact details, and a fairly large number of people who've never heard of it at all...

Did the two men take ashes of several cremated people with them?

Did the two men shoot a video as they went that was watched by the several people live?

Did the two men spend their time in contact with the several people by radio etc during their trip?

Did the two men take photos or other momentos of the several people with them?

Were the two men inspired to take the trip by the memory of the several people?

Did the several people give funds for the trip of two men?
Did the two men perform different professional functions on the trip (as in the situation, where one could say that journalist, driver, photographer, biologist and paramedic made the trip, when in fact it was a journalist with paramedic skills and driving license together with biologist taking photos - only two men in fact)?

Did they travel to another country? Is the reason of their trip relevant? Did they go for the trip willingly? Were they told to go for a trip? Were they forced to go for a trip? None of this is really relevant other than discovering who the story is about, but the details may be helpful, so...they traveled to another country willingly after they were instructed to do so. They could have refused, no one forced them to travel against their will.

I try to discover who the story is about with other means than searching in the Bible or in the Internet :-)
Was the nephew the son of uncle's sister? Uncle's brother? Was one of them (uncle and nephew) a prophet? Both of them?
The one who mainly organized the journey: uncle? nephew?
Was the journey organized for uncle's sake? for nephew's sake?
Did they travel to Egypt?
Were the several people servants of two men, and as such did not count as protagonists of the story?

I try to discover who the story is about with other means than searching in the Bible or in the Internet :-) And that's how to truly solve one of these puzzles. My comment wasn't as much about instruction as it was a clue to the solution...
Was the nephew the son of uncle's sister? Uncle's brother? Was one of them (uncle and nephew) a prophet? Both of them? There was an uncle and a nephew. The nephew's familial ties to the uncle are not relevant.
The one who mainly organized the journey: uncle? nephew? The uncle (but he had some direction)
Was the journey organized for uncle's sake? for nephew's sake? Mostly for the uncle's sake
Did they travel to Egypt? Yes, that was part of the journey
Were the several people servants of two men, and as such did not count as protagonists of the story? No. The men did have servants with them, but to say that "several people" made the journey one needs only to take into account two people.

***** SPOILER *****

Abraham's nephew's name was 'Lot.' The two men went on a journey to decide which land each man would take. So if someone asked, "How many people went with Abraham?" the answer could be "Just one, his nephew." Or if you answered, "A Lot," this could be interpreted as "several people."

Nice work, Redwine!

Once upon a time, a competition was held to see who would illustrate a new children's bible, destined to be a best-seller.

The competing illustrators vied for this honour in the fairest way possible. They drew Lots.
