I'm not particularly interested in endangered species, but a recent book celebrating attempts to save them has made me feel good. How come??

does it include something you have written? a quotation of yours?

in relation to you feeling good - are any of these relevant: politics? academia? writing? healthcare? your age? ageism? racism? religion? pets? food?

does the good feeling mean you have gained a benefit? avoided a disbenefit? does the book say something nice about you? about someone you care for? will the book benefit someone you care for?

is it the content of the book that is relevant? the title? the picturs? the text? who is buying it? where it is being sold? how much it is? who publiched it? who wrote it?

relevant which endangered species? just one? or many? is the range of species covered relevant?

do you feel good because the book somehow confirms what you think? or gives evidence for what you think?

do you think the book is good? bad? wrong? silly?

is it a nonfiction book? a fiction book? relevant?

could a book on another subject have given you the same feeling? a book about non endangered animals? a book about the charitable efforts of humans in other fields?

Is the title relevant, other than the reference to endangered species?
If so, is the 'uplift' literal, as e.g. in a bra? or in, say, an elevator which lifts you from one floor to another?
Or as in 'moral uplift' or 'psychological uplift'?
(Don't really think this is the case, but want to clarify.)

The relevant person who has the disease: male? female? someone you know? child? 18-34? 35-60? 60+? is this person related to you? to a coworker? is this person's race relevant?

Does the disease primarily affect people in a certain category? based on gender? age? race? some other socioeconomic factor? some other factor beyond socioeconomic status?

BTW, you might want to officially spoyl your "Reverse it" puzzle. If Peter's looking for the "spoyl" tag, he might miss that that puzzle is actually solved.

Does the book say that HIV medication will become less expensive? no more effective? no more widely available? no. The book, which is about attempts to preserve endangered species, does not mention HIV medication at all, But HIV medication is relevant to the puzzle.

******* SPOILER *******
Clever Hannah triumphs again!! The book Wild Ones, by Jon Mooallem, celebrates efforts to preserve endangered species. It's supposed to make readers feel good & it made me feel great, not because I give a hoot about Lange's metalmark butterfly, but because the author mentions (in passing, as though it weren't important) that one of the preservationists is a gay man who was diagnosed as HIV+ in the 1990's. He seems to be in great shape now (thanks to new medicines, I assume), which I think is 1,000,000X as important as Lange's metalmrk butterfly. I also think you should check out my new puzzle at the bottom of the page.
