Felix went to work without breakfast. He unsuccessfully tried to get some food. He prayed hard and finally got what he struggled for. If he had been more educated, he would not have been happy about this miracle.

Possibly you have heard this story before, so please e-mail early spiolers.

Does Felix eat breakfast in the morning, as most of us do? That is, he isn't on 2nd or 3rd shift? Or is this relevant?
Could it be lunch/dinner/supper instead?
Could the puzzle be true if he wasn't going to work that day i.e. it was his day off?
Is it relevant what he eats for breakfast? Any dietary requirements?

Did he try to get food before he went to work? on his way to work? at his work? did he arrive at his workplace at all? Did he eventually get some food? still in the morning? later? at his workplace?
"be more educated" as in "have more/better information"? have some additional knowledge? have some additional skills?
Did the fact that he eventually received food turn out bad for Felix? for someone else? if for someone else: did Felix know?
Was it someone else's food? did Felix steal it?
Is it relevant what kind of food it was? meat? vegetables? bread? cereals? drink?
Is Felix's profession/occupation/job relevant?
Does he usually pray at work? (is he a priest?)
"praying" literally as in "praying to God"? or, rather, asking? begging?
Is Felix a criminal?
Did this happen in present time?

Was what he got, i.e. "what he struggled for" actual food?
Is his job relevant?
Is it important why he was unsuccessful in getting food? Did he have money to buy breakfast?

Wizardofnz:
Did he get 'milk' from a bull, as it were? Yes indeed.

**************SPOILER****************
A medieval monk Felix, during a festing period, went to his job (feeding cattle) without breakfast. He tried to milk a cow to get some milk for drinking. However, he, as many of medieval monks, was not educated in sexuality issues, and did not know that the animal he tried to "milk" was actually a bull. If he knew that, he probably would not be as happy as he was about obtaining (finally, after much effort and many prayers) his "food".
The story was recorded in a medieval chronicle and Felix is a saint.

Thanks for playing and congrats to Wiz for solving the puzzle.

Yuck and it reminds me of a childhood rhyme

Poor old Paddy went to milk a cow
poor old Paddy didn't know how
poor old Paddy pulled the wrong tit
poor old Paddy got a bucket of sh*t.

There was another way of saying this but it contained a term that would now rightly be considered racist as many rhymes and jokes from the 1970s did.
