Is TPS an acronym? An item? A percentage/proportion/ratio?
Does your TPS depend on your living situation? What country you live in? Jobs? Hobbies?

Might your TPS change after a specific event? More gradually over time? Gradually, but after a specific change?

Wouldyour TPS change for the better? Worse? Neutral? Is there a "better or worse" aspect of TPS?

Does P stand for "per"? Something "per second"?

Is it how many of something you have? Is it a person or people? Another living thing or things? An ability you have? A relationship you have to someone else (for example, the number of people you are related to)? Or a relationship you have to something else?

The event that might change your TPS: is it at your work? At home? Does it involve you directly? Would it be on the news?

Do other people have TPS? Might the same event affect their TPS? Or another, similar event?

Do you acquire something new? Or lose something? Break something? Technology relevant?

Would you describe TPS as an action? A procedure? A method? An item? Does it describe something qualitatively (ex. the way you walk or the tone of your voice)?

Is your rather impressive post count relevant? is TPS your Top Poster Status? No to both. I hadn't even thought about my post count on here before your question.
Edit: cool, it appears everyone else has some catching up to do. Still, that is not relevant to this puzzle.

Is TPS something that each forum member could measure for themselves? Anyone can measure it, if that's what you mean, but not anyone has one. Do I have one? No.

Is it to do with puzzles you've hosted? This. participated in? solved?
