Do the same people cheer as those who laugh and groan? Do they groan because it looks painful? Because there is incredibly lame humor involved?

Did the groaners tell him beforehand that he was going to fall off? Mountain: tall rock that's part of the Earth? Tallee than 100m? 1000m? Does the mann fall: less than 1m? 1-10? 10-30? 30-100? More than 500?

Is the figure supposed to stay still? Move, but not fall? Is it magnetic? Is it used in a game? Is it a special effect? For instance a model filmed to make it look big?

Does the man move up the mountain in response to some achievement/move in the game? is the movement of the man itself controlled by a player (through the machine, of course)? Does the game involve luck? physical coordination? fast reaction time? mental aptitude/intelligence?

***** SPOILER ****

"Cliff Hangers has a cardboard mountain climber who climbs up a mountain based on how far the contestant misses the price of a prize, and missing it by too much could lead the mountain climber to his doom. "

Check out this link: http://priceisright.wikia.com/wiki/Cliff_Hangers for more info about the game than you probably would care to know!
