Did she scream out of: anger? Fear? Happiness? Frustration? Surprise?
Did she mean to grab the chocolate? Did she grab it in order to eat it? Hold it? Throw it? Give it away? Did she think it was something other than chocolate? Did she see anything relevant besides the chair?

Harry Potter relevant?

Did she pretend the chair was a Dementor and, as any non-Muggle knows, chocolate helps against them?

Was the chair meant to represent someone or something else?

was the chair wooden? did she expect to see it there?

was the whip altered in any way? or just a regular whip? prop?

Indoors = a theater? arena? a home? store?

Was her costume Zorro? was it more a generic fictional character like say, a Stormtrooper from Star Wars or a Hobbit from LOTR?

Did she do this in front of an audience? was this a rehearsal of some kind?

Is the chair a wheelchair? A chair with wheels on the bottom? Does the boy push the chair across the floor? Lift it up? Over his head? Turn it around? Upside down? None of these. Slight FA

The character Ella is dressed as is not famous... so will we know who it is? Possibly not Is it important to the puzzle to know this character? Not especially, but the chair, the whip, and the chocolate are all consistent with the character and any one of these might help...maybe.

Do we need to figure out what game? what character from the game she is? Both would help. The game is not totally obscure, but not super famous either, I would say. I will give you a year though, 1993.

Is the guy dressed as a monster version of a chair? does his costume have a mouth? fangs? spikes?

Did the chair attack her in the skit? in the game?

Did she scream because the chair attacked her? Because she lost hit points? So she got the chocolate to restore them?

...not sure what else we need? I assume the whip is the character's weapon? Yes it is. You could go on to find the game itself, but I will give it anyway.

That makes it enough for a

****SPOILER****

Ella is a cosplayer at a video game convention I witnessed once. She was playing the main female character from Secret of Mana. The whip is one of the usable weapons in the game, and the chair, which is an enemy in one dungeon, was being played by her companion. The chocolate is one the restorative items to regain HP in the game.

Thanks to all who played!
