[Twilightseeker] I wasn't cold.

Postby Twilightseeker » Mon Nov 21, 2016 12:33 am

This might go quickly...

I frequently spend Saturday evenings at a local pub. This is in a tropical environment, and the building is not known for having very functional air conditioning most of the time. However, I always wear a light jacket/shawl when I go there. Why would I do this?

So you could have material for a LTP? :)

Is the pub themed in any way? could it just as easily be called a bar?

Are you still comfortable in the building even with the light jacket/shawl? would you ever wear a heavy jacket/shawl?

Do you generally dress like this even when not going to the pub?

Do you work at the pub?

So you could have material for a LTP? :) Hehe, no. I actually just thought of this puzzle, though I've been doing this thing for about two years.

Is the pub themed in any way? It's called "The Irish Rose", so I suppose it is sort of Irish-themed? But other than its name, it isn't REALLY. Like there isn't any goofy stuff. It's just called that. could it just as easily be called a bar? Yes, I think so.

Are you still comfortable in the building even with the light jacket/shawl? Relatively would you ever wear a heavy jacket/shawl? No

Do you generally dress like this even when not going to the pub? No, or irrelevant.

Do you work at the pub? No

Do you wear the jacket/shawl in the conventional manner (as opposed to tied around your waist, or as a turban, or...)?

Do you remove it immediately upon entry? Do you keep it on all evening? Does the ambient temperature affect whether or not you wear it?

Apart from warmth (and perhaps modesty) does the jacket/shawl serve a purpose? Does it conceal or contain anything? Is it a signal? Are they of a relevant colour or material? Is there some relevant aspect worth discovering?

Would you do the same at any other pub?

Do any of the other patrons dress similarly?

Awkward question, sorry...but is the wearing of the shawl/jacket to attract romantic interest from other patrons?

Is the size of the pub relevant? it's restrooms relevant?

Do they serve a drink that makes you real cold when you have it?

Do they serve a drink that makes you real cold when you have it? Not relevantly. Sometimes I purposely order very cold beers to cool down though

Do you wear it as a signal? Wear it so you can use it as a signal? WAG: do the bathroom stalls have no locks, and occupancy is signalled by hanging an item of clothing on top of the door?

Hi Twilightseeker

Is there a specific subset of patrons that you're using the jacket to signal to ? By sex? age? other demographic? Are they people you're signalling known to you? Is this a warning system?

Do you use it as a signal by: wearing it? Placing it somewhere? Hanging it somewhere? Leaving it in the wardrobe? Do you signal to friends? Enemies? Strangers? Pub workers? Anyone?

Are you reserving your own chair? for when you need to leave it to do something else like use the restroom? Bingo!

And that wraps this up!

****SPOILER****
I always wear a jacket/shawl when I go to the pub in order to have something to leave at my chair when I go to the restroom, so no one takes my chair. It's hot in the pub, so sometimes I just take it off when I get there anyway. I don't want to leave anything valuable at my table though, in case of theft.

Thanks for playing!
