[WiZ] Day-dreaming, Chain-smoking

Postby WiZ » Wed Dec 14, 2016 9:25 pm

A group of businessmen are given a free drink. A few minutes later, they are instructed to pour their drinks onto the carpet, where it leaves a stain that is difficult to remove. Why were they so instructed?

Because the person giving the instruction had been doing some drinking of his own?

Were the drinks wine? water? soda? milk? beer? eggnog? tea?

Is this related to a detective story? is this Christmas themed?

Businessmen - relevant in what business they are in?

Were the drinks hot? Cold? Relevant?

You interpretation of "this" was correct, sir!

Did you personally attend? and witness this? participate in the pouring even?

Was this done in a humorous vein? was this done to illustrate something?

Was the carpet to be cleaned by one of the businessmen? the instructor (can I call him Tom?)

The instructor - did he have more authority than the the businessmen? was he also a businessman?

Were they hitting an air pocket? Close enough - the solution involves clear air turbulence.

***** SPOILER *****

The businessmen were on a flight which had ascended above the weather-affected zone. They were served coffee once this area was cleared. However, the plane (which was modern, and designed to flex in the face of turbulence) began to encounter jet streams. The pilot warned the passengers to empty their coffee cups in order to avoid scalding themselves, damaging their nice suits etc.

Well done, Grip, and thank you everyone for playing.
