[WiZ] New concepts in riddle generation

Postby WiZ » Thu Dec 15, 2016 10:29 pm

On weekdays, I typically do a quarter of a dance. Why should this be so?

Do you actually dance? Is the dance always of a certain length? The same length?
Is it relevant what you do on weekends?
Is your route to work relevant? Is work itself relevant?

Is it a party-type dance with certain instructions? The Macarena? The Cha Cha slide? Square dance?

Are you holding your arms out? To accept something? To reach out for something?
Are you putting your hands on your hips and doing a little wiggle?

Does this happen at a certain time of day? If so, morning? Afternoon? Evening?

Well, it SOUNDS crazy... :) I ran a puzzle this year with a title that linked to the TVTropes page for 'Mundane Made Awesome', which is a key trope in Lateral Thinking Puzzles. Anthony and Cleopatra are dead?!?!?!?!?! Oh... they're fish.

Breakfast relevant? automobiles? other personages? no to all

So, now we have to pin down which version of the macarena you're doing...
Are you just placing one hand on one hip, then the other hand on the other hip? Are you placing left hand on right hip, right hand on left hip, right hand on right hip, left hand on left hip? Or are you placing both hands on both hips at the same time (aka lazy man's macarena)?

Are you checking for something? If so, something attached to your belt or belt loops? Something in your pockets?

Are your pants involved in any way? Your shirt?

***** SPOILER *****

When I check my side and back pants pockets for my wallet, cellphone, keys etc., I am performing the third quarter of the macarena.

Well done, Irishelk, and thank you everyone for playing.
