[IrishElk] Clerks

Postby irishelk » Sat Feb 04, 2017 5:23 pm

Marco knows something about 7-Eleven that probably no one else in the world knows, not even the clerks or the CEO. He is not happy about having this unique information. What is it?

Hey, if Marco knows something that probably no one else does, how then do you know what he knows? ;)

Marco = HAM? does he work at a 7-11?

7-Eleven = all stores? or just one or more specific ones?

Information = negative? positive? neutral? odd info?

Is this based on real life?

Hey, if Marco knows something that probably no one else does, how then do you know what he knows? ;) Dang, you've discovered my secret alter-identity.

Marco = HAM? Yes. does he work at a 7-11? No.

7-Eleven = all stores? Yes. or just one or more specific ones? But a specific one is relevant.

Information = negative? For him. positive? neutral? For most. odd info? Yes.

Is this based on real life? Loosely.

Is Marco a customer of 7-11? If yes, a habitual customer? Relevant?
Is there something relevant about Marco personally that enabled him to obtain this information? Was he simply in good (bad) place at good (bad) time?

Is there a reason Marco hasn't shared this information with anyone? Would this information endanger anyone physically? Financially?

Does the information have to do with the company history? The first store? Something about the totem poles that were associated with the franchise before it changed its name to 7-11?

Is Marco a customer of 7-11? Not relevantly. If yes, a habitual customer? Relevant?
Is there something relevant about Marco personally that enabled him to obtain this information? Yesish. Was he simply in good (bad) place at good (bad) time? In a way, yes.

Grip

Is crime relevant? Yes, a minor crime, but don't let that mislead you.

Solong

Is coffee relevant? Yes! Or other comestibles that one might purchase there? Just coffee.

Allergies relevant?

Is Marco the one committing the minor crime?

Is the relevant coffee the one made in the store or the coffee sold in packages? is the sourcing of the coffee relevant?

Grip

Is the machine used to make the coffee relevant? machine to dispense it? No to both.

trebor

Is the temperature of the coffee relevant? No. The amount of caffeine? No. Do the cups/lids/sleeves matter? Cups are relevant.

Does this information disgust Marco? Not disgust exactly... Does Marco work in the coffee industry? No. Does his job matter? No.

GalFisk

Is the minor crime committed: once? Many times? This. Continuously? By store owners? Store workers? Customers? This.
At one store? One store is involved, but... More than one? Not at the stores? This.
Is the secret disgusting? That would be a bit harsh...unpleasant, certainly. And FA.
Is the crime motivated by money? Laziness? This. Carelessness? And this. Spite? Is the coffee unsafe? No.

RedWine

The relevant information about Marco: gender? age? education? job? family? accommodation? As in residence? YES. religion? political views? hobby? No to rest.

RedWine

Is littering relevant? Yes. Is the minor crime committed against the 7/11? No. Is it a victimless crime? Depends on your feelings about littering. =) In this case I'll say no.
Does the shop try to prevent the crime? No.

Are they discarded on Marco's property? Does he know something about their biodegradability? About how to dispose of them the best way?

Is something attracted to the cups? (Particular light, a type of animal, etc.?)

Do the cups cause any relevant damages to Marco's yard? House? Yard furniture? Garden? Lawn? To Marco himself?

Does Marco have any relevant physical conditions?

Would Marco have this same knowledge if people were to just dump 7-11 coffee cups on his property without having filled and emptied them first? Is the knowledge that he has about the cups themselves? About the coffee? About the customers? Is it relevant that it's coffee and not one of the other hot beverages you can put in those cups?

Would Marco have this same knowledge if people were to just dump 7-11 coffee cups on his property without having filled and emptied them first? No. Is the knowledge that he has about the cups themselves? In part. About the coffee? Not specifically, but it's involved. About the customers? In part. Is it relevant that it's coffee and not one of the other hot beverages you can put in those cups? Another hot beverage would work about the same.

Temperature of the beverage relevant (apart from hot)? No, in fact this could also happen with Slurpees--I just observed it with hot beverages. Do people relevantly not drink all of it? No, they drink all. Is what's left in the bottom of the cups relevant? No.

Relevant why they discard the cups there? Is it because they normally have drunk all of it when they pass by that place? Have they always thrown cups there? If not, did something relevantly change to make them start doing this?

Is he the only one who knows the walking distance a 7/11 cup of hot beverage lasts? That's a bingo!

*********************************SPOILER

As Marco lives one quarter mile from a 7-Eleven, and constantly finds empty medium-sized cups of coffee littering his lawn, he is uniquely qualified to know how long it takes someone walking to consume a medium cup of 7-Eleven coffee.

Thank you! I was almost the litterer in this case--I was walking down a long road with, tragically, no public trash cans, and I was sorely tempted to leave my coffee cup sitting on a lamp post...until I noticed that there were already two of the same cup there! I hung on to it.
