[Doriana] Paved with good intentions

Postby Doriana » Wed Feb 15, 2017 10:13 am

I appreciate the warning, but do you really think this is the best place to put it?

True story, I = yours truly. Possible quickie.

Did you see the warning? At home? In a public place? At work? Inside? Outside?
Was the warning put on a sign? On paper? Physically written down? Electronocally?
Would not following the warning risk one's life? health? finances?

Would failing to respect the warning put you at risk of an accident? If yes, would this accident include:
Heat? Electric shock? Chemicals? Sharp objects? Blunt objects? Tripping? Falling?

Would one expect to see such a warning at their workplace?

Is this warning sign in an inapropriate place because it warns of an obvious danger? Of a danger that rather occurs somewhere else? Is the sign not easily visible? Is the sign visible only after disrespecting the warning in the first place?

Is the particular danger that the sign warns of relevant at all? Would the puzzle work with a sign "No Smoking"?
Is the sign in an area frequented by People who can't read it? Or understand it?

Is the sign in an area frequented by People who can't read it? Or understand it? Irrel (Coincidentally, yes, because I work with pre-literate children, but that has no connection to the puzzle)

Springs? While this is an impressive list, it's a no to all. Maybe I should have added "beware of FA" to my earlier answer

Is it not fastened at all? Is it stood on a surface? Hung from something? Laid down on something? Placed in a container? "Beware of loose objects" placed loosely somewhere?

Was the "wet floor" sign placed so far into the wet floor so that people needed to enter the wet floor to read the warning?

Was the sign placed right behind a corner or such? Did you think one could now fall over the sign instead of slipping on the wet floor?

********SPOILER********

Yesterday, the cleaners at my workplace mopped our hallway. They then put the "wet floor" sign so close to my office door that I could barely see it when I left my office. I almost tripped and fell over a sign that was supposed to warn me of the danger of falling :D

Well done! New puzzle will be up in a minute.
