Did the geography scrund concern a country? a continent? a mountain? a river? a lake? a sea? a town?
Did the philosophy book refer to the location the scrund was about? Was the scrund rectified by the content of the book? By some information about the book?

So he thought the town was in a particular area: the coast? An island? Near another body of water? In the mountains? A desert? Somewhere with a lot of snow?

Is it relevant why he had this scrund? Is the name of the town relevant?

Was he corrected as a direct result from reading the book? Or did reading the book cause him to do something that ultimately corrected the scrund?

Yopereading: Pictures relevant? Is a math puzzle relevant? Philosophical puzzle? Paradox? No to all. My answer is somewhat misleading, the "yope" should have been placed after "reading the book".

Had Daniel had the scrund for a long time before coming across the town name? Or did he see the town name, assume it was on an island, then look it up and be demonstrated wrong?
Does the town have a similar name to a different town that is on an island?
Did the book imply the town was not where he'd thought it was?

Did Daniel think it was a very little town? Possibly Did he think it was located on an island with no big cities? Possibly Is it relevant how he got his scrund? No Did he assume something from just the name of the place? No

********SPOILER********

Daniel had the scrund that the German city of Paderborn was located on an island (possibly due to a mix-up with the similar sounding actual island of Pellworm). He bought a book published by Mentis, a publisher of philosophy books that used to have its headquarters in Paderborn. When he saw where the book had been published, he found it odd that a publishing company would be headquartered on a (small) island, which is why he looked up Paderborn (which isn't even close to the coast).

True story, by the way. Thanks for playing! Please check out my new puzzle which will be up in minute :)
