[Doriana] Common people

Postby Doriana » Mon Mar 06, 2017 8:26 pm

Marla (H/A/F) usually does her grocery shopping at Supermarket A. Every couple of weeks, however, she goes to Supermarket B for a very specific reason. Can you find out why?
(Of course you can, you guys are a bunch of clever lateral puzzlers!)

Is she after a particular item? Is there a relevant sale, special or promotion? Does she meet anyone there? If the two supermarkets existed in a vacuum, and she passed no person or place on the route to Supermarket B, would this puzzle still work?

Is the location of the supermarkets, either in absolute terms or relative to each other, relevant? Are they near each other? Is the route or method she uses to get there relevant? Does she even buy anything at Supermarket B?

Can you drink it through a relevant mask or helmet? YES

********SPOILER********

Marla is Doriana in disguise. I'm a lacrosse goalie, which means that I wear a helmet as part of my protective equipment. While most water bottles' necks are too wide and short to fit through the helmet, Rewe (a German supermarket) sells a brand with a long and narrow neck that allows me to drink without removing the helmet during games. So the day before game day, I usually go to Rewe to buy a single bottle of water to take with me.

Thanks for playing, and well done, GalFisk!
