[Doriana] The weight of the world

Postby Doriana » Mon Mar 27, 2017 6:04 pm

Camilla (H/A/F) has never cared about her weight. However, she recently started weighing herself twice a week. Why?

Suspected quickie.

The dreaded FA! Oh well, your next questions already clears it up :)

Does she weigh herself on just one day of the week but twice? Yes

Did she she start weighing herself because of something she heard? This, but beware of the next FA read?

Is her job relevant? No

Does she care about the weight of something that is not herself? A pet, perhaps? Was the something she heard something that was told to her specifically because of her and her circumstances (e.g., your cat is fat and needs to lose weight)? Or as a general concept (losing weight can do xyz)?

Spot on. I knew this wouldn't last long - time for the

********SPOILER********

The vet told Camilla that her cat needs to lose weight, so she puts it on a diet and checks its weight once a week. What's the easiest way to weigh a cat? Weigh yourself with your cat, then again without your cat and subtract the second weight from the first.

Well done. I had hoped this puzzle would give me some time to think of a more difficult one, but it looks like I can't think of anything right now.

Heh, sorry to spoil so quickly. I am in Camilla's position -- though the vet has not told us to put her on a diet, one of our cats is very definitely overweight, so we have self-imposed the puzzle's situation on ourselves.
