Great idea! Seeing my name after the word assassination scared me a little at first though! ;)

Is an assassination relevant? if so, in actual history?

Boy = human? Man = human?

Did the man die from suffocation? drowning? fire? murder?

Does the boy wnt the man to die? Irr. Does the boy know his actions got a man killed? Irr; depends on his exact age. Does the boy know the man? No. Does the boy go in a toilet? Urinal? On a tree? A street? In bushes? No to all. Relevant? Yes. If the boy went to this place to do something else, would the man still die? Depends on what the boy did, but probably not, at least not in exactly the same way.

If the boy went to this place and poured some water, would the man die? Flushing relevant? Time between peeing and Death: instant? Seconds? Minutes? Hours? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Did the boy go outside? Did the man die outside? Temperature relevant? Electricity?
Did the killer mean to kill: this man, specifically? Some person? Someone from a certain Group? Anyone? The boy? Does the boy know the victim? The killer? Is the killer A? M?

If the boy went to this place and poured some water, would the man die? Probably, but again, there would be a different path to his death. Flushing relevant? No. Time between peeing and Death: instant? Seconds? Minutes? This. Hours? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Did the boy go outside? Yes. Did the man die outside? Yes. Temperature relevant? Electricity? No to both.

Disrespect yopeishly intended in that the killer told Trevor to do the relevant thing in a disrespectful manner? There really isn't a respectful way to get urinated on. You need to explore the situation. So could Trevor still 'cause' Joe's death by not necessarily urinating on him? Assume no; this was probably the best method available under the circumstances.

Recap:

It is the medieval period of Japan. Trevor, a small boy, deliberately urinates on the face of Joe, a senior samurai protected by bodyguards. This causes Joe to "lose face." Trevor was told to do this by Kenta, another samurai. Shortly afterwards, Kenta kills Joe by stabbing. Kenta escapes scot-free, as the bodyguards are prevented from interfering by a sacred tradition.

Was Joe caught off guard by the urination? Yes. or did he see the boy coming up to him before the act? No, he was unaware of Trevor until the urination started. (Given the genre, this is actually a bit surprising.)

Is Joe in a castle? No.

Can't believe I'm asking this but...did Joe stand there and let Trevor "finish?" or did he start moving as soon as he realized what was happening?

Does the "sacred tradition" that stops the guards acting have to do with avenging one's own honor?

Does Joe try to call Trevor out to fight him to regain his honor? Does Kenta accept the fight on his son's behalf? Which he's allowed to do because he is Trevor's father? Because Trevor is a kid and thus not really able to fight for himself?

Do the guards not interfere after Kenta kills Joe because it was like, an official fight or something? because Joe initiated the fight? or at least did the whole 'slap the other guy's face with a glove to officially challenge him' type thing?

Does Joe try to call Trevor out to fight him to regain his honor? Not exactly, but OTRT. Does Kenta accept the fight on his son's behalf? Yes. Which he's allowed to do because he is Trevor's father? Yes. Because Trevor is a kid and thus not really able to fight for himself? Yes.

Do the guards not interfere after Kenta kills Joe because it was like, an official fight or something? This. because Joe initiated the fight? or at least did the whole 'slap the other guy's face with a glove to officially challenge him' type thing?

Spoiler:

It is the days of feudal Japan. Kenta has accepted a commission to assassinate Joe; unfortunately, Joe is always accompanied by bodyguards. So Kenta enlists his young son, Trevor, to "accidentally" piss on Joe from the roadside bank. The guards, naturally, want to kill Trevor to avenge their lord's loss of face, while Joe is willing to simply accept Kenta's apology. But Kenta deliberately refuses, inciting a duel with Joe - and gets Joe to sign a release that this is a duel of honor and that his bodyguards will not kill Kenta if Kenta wins the duel. Kenta does win, and escapes with Trevor, while the bodyguards cannot pursue and kill them because it would shame their dead lord.

The story is drawn from the comic, film and tv series, Lone Wolf and Cub. Depicted here: https://youtu.be/cFGHKGnVhgU?t=1139
