[WiZ] Albert Ross Soupe

It is typically given for free, but people will often offer to purchase it for precisely half its value. What is it?

Is it: a physical object? A service? An experience?

Half its value in money? Relevant that it's "precisely" half - could it also be 1/3 of its value? 2/3?

Is it given for free to anyone? To the needy? When the offer to purchase is made, could it be obtained for free at the same time? Is the offer to purchase a form of charity?

Is the value determined by its store price? By the price it takes to manufacture? Is it ever purchased at full value?

Is it purchased at half price, or is the offer made without being accepted?

Is it advice/thoughts? (A penny for your thoughts/my two bits' worth)

Is it advice/thoughts? (A penny for your thoughts/my two bits' worth) It is.

***** SPOILER *****

It is advice/thoughts. People often give their two cents' worth for free, but sometimes this will be solicited by the phrase 'Penny for your thoughts?'

Introverts, I guess, at least get to recuperate half their losses. Well done, Westing. I think I need to start re-instating the caveat.
