Died = murdered? Died for natural causes? Disease? Accident? Executed?
Did M die? If so in outside? In inside?
Did he die in an esotic place in which winter means warm temperatures and summer/spring/autumn very hot temperatures?

So is the condition necessary and sufficient? (Michael would have survived if and only if it had been winter: if M survive is winter and if it is winter M survives)

If so...is there a relevant meteorological condition of the winter which would impeed is death? Snow? Cold? Ice? If it had been winter, would he have not died just for the rest of the winter or in absolute?(I mean...it is winter...M survives...than winter ends and spring comes and so on...would M have died in Spring? Summer?)

Had it be winter...would M have survived because: it would be impossible to kill him? He would be able to escape? It would have been possible for him to reach a place thanks to the ice which forms a natural bridge just in winter? His body would have reacted to the stimoulous of the cold and a clinical condition would have verified?

Died = murdered? Died for natural causes? Disease? Accident? This Executed?
Did M die? Yes If so in outside? This In inside?
Did he die in an esotic place in which winter means warm temperatures and summer/spring/autumn very hot temperatures? No

So is the condition necessary and sufficient? (Michael would have survived if and only if it had been winter: if M survive is winter and if it is winter M survives) Under the circumstances, Yesish

If so...is there a relevant meteorological condition of the winter which would impeed is death? Yes Snow? Cold? This, mainly Ice?
If it had been winter, would he have not died just for the rest of the winter or in absolute?
(I mean...it is winter...M survives...than winter ends and spring comes and so on...would M have died in Spring? Summer?) Almost certainly (dying) in summer, probably in spring, possibly in fall

Had it be winter...would M have survived because: it would be impossible to kill him? Yes He would be able to escape? No It would have been possible for him to reach a place thanks to the ice which forms a natural bridge just in winter? No His body would have reacted to the stimoulous of the cold and a clinical condition would have verified? No

Did he die in the Southern hemisphere? No

Accident = car accodent? An accident while he was walking? While flying? Was him the only one who died in the accident?
Outside = on a street? In a park? Outside his house (e.g. garden)? In a island? Desert? River? Sea? Lake? Up in the air? While practising his hobby?

Is a winter activity relevant? (E.g. ski? Snowboard? Ice skating?...)

Relevant his profession? Little Wag...Was it a seasonal one?
So the cause of his death is related to temperature because...: the accident in which he was involved is caused by an activity that is usually performed when temperature is high? That is impossible to perform in winter (e.g. swimming in a lake which is covered by ice in winter time, climbing a mountain, an activity requiring a certain type of clothing which is unusual in winter...)?

Can we assume this sequence of equalities: summer = hot =death? Is "sweating" relevant? Something melting is relevant? Position of the sun? Thirst? Hibernation? lethargy of some animal? Diseases caused by cold?

So he died in an accident while working outside of an house due to the fact that it was hot? Meaning it was hot in general or was hotter than the normal in a specific place (e.g. a sauna...)? Thermal shock relevant? Solar panels relevant?
Was there something automatically activating after that a certain temperature is reached?

Temperature per se relevant? Reading temperature? Scale of temperatures?
Relevant who was the owner of the house outside of which he died? A client? A friend? A relative? Did he die in his/her garden? Was he building something? E.g. a swimming pool?

Did the homeowner: kill him in self-defense? Trap him somewhere? Alter anything to do with the air conditioner/conditioning?

Does the homeowner have any relevant medical issues? Does Michael? Is the homeowner aware of Michael’s presence? Is the homeowner home when the break-in occurs?

...not an expert but...had it be winter, would the air-conditioning system be set to "hot" or warm? If so, M would not have died in that case?

Was the air-conditioner relevantly turned on?
Did the air-conditioner relevantly work with a remote control (to be sure, is the remote control the cause of M's death?)?

Interaction of M with the machinery: was M trying to switch off the air-conditioning? Little WAG: Did M have a mask? Was he trying to spread in the room a soporific substance exploiting the air-flow coming from the air conditioning system?

Did the air-conditioner relevantly work with a remote control No (Irrel) (to be sure, is the remote control the cause of M's death?)? No

Interaction of M with the machinery: was M trying to switch off the air-conditioning? No Little WAG: Did M have a mask? No Was he trying to spread in the room a soporific substance exploiting the air-flow coming from the air conditioning system? No, possibly the same FA as above

Is the homeowner’s medical issue more of a permanent one? No Is it something short-term? Yes, and that clears the "potential FA" from the previous set of answers Like a flu or something? Yes, or something equivalent, it doesn't matter exactly Is the homeowner dead at the end of the puzzle? No

To be sure...we are talking of an air conditioner inside the house (not a car for instance?)? Half inside the house and half outside? Is it relevant how M broke into the house? From a window? From a door?

Air conditioning...is here meant air conditioning of a room? with an air-conditioner(an electronic one?)? A ceiling fan? Or air conditioning in general (e.g. with a fridge?)? If so is it an electronic one? One with a fan?
Had it been winter, the air conditioning system would have problems in activating?

Air conditioning = make the air colder than the outside temperature?
Did the owner get a flu due to the air conditioning? Did he set the air conditioning in specific time windows?

Did M take for granted something in breaking in? That the air conditioning system was turned on? Was in another position?

Well...I have a WAG...my idea is that, in breaking in, M was forced to pass through a narrow path. The homeowner imagined that M should break in entering first with his head and then with the rest of his body. The homeowner posed then a loop at the end of the narrow passage so that M, when entering was forced to put is head into the rope and then he activated a ceiling fan thus hanging M...ok maybe it is not (it could also happen in winter)...

Was it night time? Relevant?
Was the outside half of the air conditioner on the roof of the house? On a wall? Relevant?
Window = a sort of ceiling window (like the ones in attics)? Or a normal window? Was the relevant contact of M with the machinary on the outside part or with the inside one?

Is the situation the following: the owner knew that M was trying to break in through the window. M was near (on it?) the half of the air conditioner on the outside of the house and something happened?
Is it relevant that the outside part of the air conditioner usually is hot (or has a flow of hot air?)? Did he invert the two sides? If so did M expect it? Did the owner modify the engines of the air conditioner? Did M? Did M die by falling? By electroshock?

Little WAG again...was the outside part of the air conditioner somehow a fake one(a cardboard one) put in order to mislead thieves and the real air conditioner of the owner was just inside

Did M want to attract the owner outside of the house? Did M know that the owner knew he was present and want to break-in?

Did M want to put something inside the air conditioner? Does the fact that was summer and not winter involve directly and mainly the air conditioner even if it was turned off? Does it involve mainly the fact that air conditioners are usually used in summer and less or not in winter? Does it involve mainly the main use of air conditioner to make the air colder than the outside temperature?

Did M have a relevant weapon? Did M die outside of the house? Inside?
Was there another air conditioner half inside and half outside? Is the hotness of summer relevant because something happens when a certain temperature is reached? Because of something involving the air conditioners directly?

Interaction with air conditioner = with hands? Head? Legs? Arms? Other parts of the body? Did he want to provoke a short circuit by peeing on it? Was it voluntary? Does it involve the external box of the air conditioner? The internal engines?

Was the window opened by the owner making him bang on the air conditioner? Yes Did the owner open the window instead of turning the air conditioner on?

****SPOILER****

Michael was trying to break into a house, not knowing the owner was sick in bed. The owner heard Michael trying to break in and opened the window to look outside, forgetting the air conditioner was mounted in that window. The air conditioner fell on Michael and killed him.
Had it been winter, the air conditioner would not have been in the window because it would have been too cold.
