Removed an article of clothing he himself was wearing? Or removed it from another person? If the latter, is the other person the question asker? Does this involve the sale of clothing?

Is it an article of clothing that is worn on the head? upper half of body? lower half of body?

Is it a coat? shirt? sweater? scarf?

Was he wearing it correctly prior to taking it off?

After turning it around, does he put it back on in the turned-around position?

Is the question he is answering a clothing-related question?

A glove?

is it something that a male would normally wear?

If not, is it a bra? other article of women's clothing?

Are there just 2 relevant people in this scenario? A question asker and a responder? Is their location relevant?

Is it worn on the arm? Hands? Wrists? A set of cufflinks? A watch? Is it something that is technological, like a Fitbit?

Does this occur in the 21st century? Relevant what century it occurs in?

Are they in the UK when this happens? In England?

WAG Does the watch tell the time in another time zone by turning it round? Maybe even three other time zones?

* * * SPOILER * * *

LYNNE

Does the watch tell the time in another time zone by turning it round? Maybe even three other time zones?
YES

He was in India which is 5.5. hours ahead of the UK. The question was 'What is the time in England?' Remarkably if you turn an analogue watch over it shows the time 5.5 hours ago. E.g. 12 noon shows 6.30 and 9.50 shows 4.20 - try it with your watch.

I must tell my Indian friend when she goes to visit her family over there.

ETA India apparently doesn't have Daylight Savings Time, so it won't work in our summer.
