Was the chimney part of a relevant house? Yes. Of a shop/place of work? No. The house of a bad charachter of the book? No. Is the book a fantasy book? Yope, maybe explore. Is the book's audience relevant? It might help you. Children? No. Was the chimney used as a normal chimney (e.g. it had a bonfire where wood was burned? Or maybe it belonged to a place of work?)? Remembering that the actual existence of the chimney is unknown, yes, it is a fireplace chimney. Or it was a "fake" chimney (e.g. it was an hidden observatory of stars, a futuristic rocket basis, a mail box for mails transported by pigeons)? No.
