A doctor instructs a patient to do 20 jumping jacks. The patient is not present for reasons related to fitness or weight, so why the instruction?

Are the doctor and patient both HAMs? Is the doctor a medical doctor?

Is the doctor testing or observing something? Does the patient go ahead and do the jumping jacks? Did the patient come to the doctor with a complaint? Is the specific exercise and/or number of reps relevant? Does he instruct all his patients to do this?

Is it a trick? Does he want to see if the complaint is genuine? If something else the patient said or demonstrated is true? Does he say the jumping jacks are a treatment? Are they? A test?

****SPOILER****

(copying this directly from the Reddit post:)

30y/o woman came to the ED with such "excruciating belly pain", "paralyzed", "oh god it hurts when you press there", "MUST HAVE OXYCODONE NOW". ED doc said if she can get out of the ED bed and do 20 jumping jacks, we can give her the Oxy. She did 20 jumping jacks, then got kicked out of the ED.
