Can we assume that he could not read? You assume correctly.That he needed his mom just in order to read what he could not? Would it work with his father/brother reading it instead? All true. Any physical condition relevant? Aside from his age, no.
Is the dictionary relevantly an English dictionary? Yes.An encyclopedia? Did the mom read to him random words? Specific words (e.g. maybe previously selected words? If so by Jamie?)? Either random words, or words selected by his mother. Words in alphabetical order? Spelling relevant? Pronunciation? etymology? Did Jamie need to guess thee definition of the words read by his mom?All no or n.r.
Did the mother invent a story using random words? Did the mom read the definition of the words? Relevant what the mom did read? All unknown or n.r.
Does his career involve books? Newspapers? Definitions? Memory? Libraries? Book stores? Does he ask to read the dictionary under particular circumstances? I front of other people? After relevant events? During relevant events? In a specific location? Is it always the same dictionary? A relevant edition? An up to date dictionary?vHis career (which is just beginning, as he is only about 19-20,) is not directly related to books, bookstores, etc. It is, however, related to words. He dies not read the dictionary though he might occasionally read from another book. What he does, he usually does it in front of other people, often at specific events and in specific places.
