Did it make wearing contacts possible? Yes Pleasant? Mainly, Yes.
****SPOILER****
I have keratoconus, requiring me to wear rigid contact lenses, but also have a dry right eye. This has made it difficult to wear the right lens (meaning I'd need to patch over that eye), but the problem had gotten worse over the past several months to the point where I was lucky if I could wear the lens once a week.
The solution? My eye doctor inserted a plug in my lower tear duct in that eye. By doing so, the moisture in my right eye can only drain through the upper tear duct. This keeps my eye moist longer and has made it able for me to wear that lens again.
Nicely done everyone!
