[WiZ] Stop me if this sounds too kiwi

Postby WiZ » Mon Dec 14, 2020 9:40 pm

Why am I always delighted to see the woman who runs my local Fish'n'chip shop wearing her Disney-themed apron?

Autobiographical. No caveat.

Is a personality trait of Winnie relevant? An action? Relevant how he's portrayed on the apron? Or would any Winnie the Pooh apron work? An apron with his name written on it, but no illustration? Would some other item of clothing with him on it work? Such as a tee? Hat? Hoodie? Shoe?

Is her name relevant? Does she always call you honey? Is she from Winnipeg? Is A.A. Milne relevant? Is anything about her appearance relevant? If you had never met her or spoken with her and just saw her walking around with a Winnie the Pooh t-shirt, would you still be delighted?

Milne relevant? no Is anything about her appearance relevant? yes If you had never met her or spoken with her and just saw her walking around with a Winnie the Pooh t-shirt, would you still be delighted? yes

Is she Chinese? yes Xi Jinping comparisons/censorship relevant? yes

***** SPOILER *****

She runs the fish'n'chip shop, which is also a Chinese takeaway (and, bizarrely, a car yard - but that's a story for another day), and is the visible face of the Chinese community where I live.

She wears a Winnie The Pooh apron on a regular basis, and I like to see her enjoying the freedom to do so, and take some comfort in the fact that a local business leader clearly isn't in cohorts with the party (whose fingers are almost daily revealed to be in more and more New Zealand pies...).

Congratulations to AlbatrossLover and LemonCurry on the solution, and thank you everyone for playing!
