Does this happen at the daughter's wedding?

Is the man H/A/M? Is his daughter H/A/F?

Tears of sadness? joy? anger? allergies relevant? teargas relevant? Is anyone cutting onions nearby?

Is the daughter supposed to marry a man? a woman? relevant?
Does the daughter not get married because she gets cold feet? because her spouse-to-be gets cold feet? because the women dies before getting married? because the spouse-to-be dies? because someone prevents them from getting married? if so, the father?

Is arranged marriage relevant? Does the daughter want to get married?

Does he know she’s dead when he starts walking her down the aisle? Is the husband-to-be present? Does the father know the fiancé has murdered his daughter when he starts walking her down the aisle? Does he realize it partway through the walk? Once he breaks down in tears? Is the setting (beyond “wedding ceremony”) relevant? If so, is it a church? Backyard? Park? Funeral home? Hospital? (Seems unlikely a dead person would be kept in a hospital, even if they had been treated there...)

Does he walk part of his daughter down the aisle? Is the method of her murder relevant? The motive for it?

(Seems unlikely a dead person would be kept in a hospital, even if they had been treated there...)

Was the husband-to-be actually the daughter's fiancé before she was murdered?

Does he walk her head down the aisle?

Are other people except for the man and the husband-to-be present? If so, do they know that the husband-to-be murdered the woman?

Was the motive money? revenge? is some sort of feud or vendetta relevant?

So, the father sets up a "wedding ceremony" between his dead daughter and her murderer, with no guests present, correct?

Did the husband-to-be and the woman know each other at all before he murdered her? Did the father know him? Was the woman the intended victim of the murder? Was the murderer a serial killer?

Is it relevant which part of her body he walks down the aisle?

Is the father's aim to make the murderer feel guilty? to get him to confess?

Okay. So were the murderer and the daughter a couple before he murdered her? If not, had he been stalking her? Pretending they were a couple? Had he been deceiving her? Was she in a relationship with someone else?

Relevant how the murderer contacted the father? How he set up the wedding? Did the father know his daughter was dead when he learned of it?

Is a ring relevant? Is it on the daughter's hand? Is that what the murderer wishes to yesishly get from the father?

Had the daughter wanted to be killed?

Does the murderer want to be able to put the ring on the daughter’s hand? And reunite the hand with the body?

I meant, does it matter whether the murderer hired a wedding planner, contacted someone to officiate, made all the arrangements, etc.? Was there someone officiating the wedding? Was there anyone else present? Is it relevant how the father found out this guy was the murderer? Is it relevant how the murderer convinced the father to walk his dead daughter’s hand down the aisle? Is the father being blackmailed? Is he under threat of violence or death himself? Are there any deaths other than the one relevant to this scenario?

Geez, talk about giving your hand in marriage.

Does the murderer have some kind of deal with the father? E.g. "I'll reveal the location of her body if you walk her hand down the aisle"? Bingo "I'll turn myself in to the police if you walk her hand down the aisle"?

**********SPOILER**********

A man becomes obsessed with a woman he has been stalking and fantasises about having her hand in marriage. In order to achieve his dream of placing a ring on her finger, he murders her and has her father 'give her hand away', with the promise of reveal the whereabouts of the rest of her body. After doing what the murderer asked, the father hysterically pleads for him to return his daughter to him.

This is actually based on a short story I read on the internet. However, I shan't reveal the source of it just yet, as the place I found it has far too many interesting ideas...

Well done to Doriana for the solve and trebor for asking essential questions and thanks to everyone else who took part.
