Did she lose a tangible item? An intangible something? Did she lose a game? The game (as we all just did)? Lose some sort of challenge or contest? Did she lose track of time? Lose sleep? Lose her way? Lose her mind? Lose weight? Lose love, which I understand is better than never having had the love at all? Lose ground? Lose her pants? Lose love's labours?

Did she lose a tangible item? Yes An intangible something? Did she lose a game? The game (as we all just did)? No but thanks Lose some sort of challenge or contest? Did she lose track of time? Lose sleep? Lose her way? Lose her mind? Lose weight? Lose love, which I understand is better than never having had the love at all? Lose ground? Lose her pants? Lose love's labours? That's an impressive [LTPF list of things you can lose], but also a no to all

Dream: something she dreamt while asleep? A daydream? Something she wished for? Something that fit her perfectly?
Did she lose one object? When she lost it, did she understand that it would lead to her dream coming true? Did she lose it intentionally? Accidentally? Was it stolen? Destroyed? Mislaid? After the loss, did the dream come true instantly? Gradually? In steps? Within: seconds? Minutes? Hours? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Decades? If not for the loss, would it certainly not have come true? Probably not? 50/50? Unknown? Unknowable?

Did she compete? Win? Break a record? Did the artificial leg mean she could join other competitions? Break other records? Did it improve her actual performance, compared to a real leg?
Edit: was there anything wrong with the leg she lost (before the injury), which meant a prosthetic leg would be better?

Is her dream to take part in a certain kind of competition she probably wouldn't have qualified for, but now she qualifies for a "disabled" variant of this kind of competition?

So her dream is taking part in an international sports competition? Did she change the discipline she competed in becaus of her losing a leg? And it turned out she was much better in the new discipline than in the old one? Or is it easier to get to an international level in the new discipline?

So her dream is taking part in an international sports competition? Yes, or more specifically representing her country at an international level Did she change the discipline she competed in becaus of her losing a leg? YES And it turned out she was much better in the new discipline than in the old one? Or is it easier to get to an international level in the new discipline? Bit of both, probably

********SPOILER********

Noelle Lambert was an ambitious and talented lacrosse player - good enough to play college lacrosse, but not quite National Team material. She lost her leg at age 19, fought her way back onto the lacrosse field and decided to pursue a second athletic career as a para track sprinter after college. In 2019, she competed at the World Para Athletic Championships in Dubai, meaning that her dream of representing the United States in an international competition finally came true - just not in the sport she had imagined.

This is based on a true story - see link above - but I don't know if competing internationally was ever actually Noelle's dream.

Well done, GalFisk and markobr!
